Life has been hectic lately!
Not only has school been keeping me super busy, but car accidents, a fractured foot (unrelated), work changes, and catching a cold have all occupied quite a lot of my time. As such, I still haven’t gotten everything from the Order of Doom painted, but last Friday, I at least got two more faceups done.
For this round, I painted Lisa’s Kid Delf Maska Romance Ver. as well as my Senior Delf Ethan. I don’t know what it is about the Maska sculpt, but so far, every faceup I’ve done on one has gone smoothly and quickly! Ryuuki, my Ethan, on the other hand, was not so lucky. Not only did I have major eyelash trouble, but when glossing his eyes, my brush slipped and got a big streak of gloss across his cheek (T_T) It was a bit of a disaster, but his hair hides it, so I’m leaving him as-is for the time being. I still have 4 1/2? faceups to complete, as well as two Fortune Delfs, so Ryuuki will just have to be patient with me!
At the moment, we have no incoming orders, so things are all quiet on the doll front. For Lisa’s birthday tomorrow, I got her a Kid Delf Kelp head (though not the romance ver. she wanted). Of course, he has no body, but it’s a start!
Given that finances are real tight around my home, there will likely be a lack of purchases for a long while. On the up side, this gives me time to invest in the dolls I have, and hopefully take more photos!
As an aside, my father is looking to get into wood working, and he actually brought up the possibility of making doll furniture. We’ll see how it turns out, but if he gets good at it, we might team up to sell it. Who knows!
For now, have some iPhone photos of Ryuuki. I’ll post some of Sono (Lisa’s Maska) later on, as well as show off the manicures she gave Akasha and Sono!
